Part Time Teaching Assistant

Hays Education have recently seen an increased need for local 1-1 Teaching Assistants in SEN Schools across Leicestershire for day-to-day and long-term supply.

Here at Hays, we work with a number of schools across Leicestershire which means as a Teaching Assistant working through Hays you will have local work in your local area covering schools that only you want to work in.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of an SEN Provision in Leicester with a range of needs including SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health), ASD, ADHD and moderate learning difficulties who have struggled to settle or been excluded from a mainstream provision. The school is passionate about supporting its students to develop emotional regulation skills and improve their readiness to learn.


Your new role

We are currently recruiting for a part time 1-1 Teaching Assistant to join the team next term on a temporary - permanent basis. We are looking for exceptional people to work with exceptional pupils who have a range of additional needs. The working hours will be 9am-2om Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

The appointed person will be expected to make a real and positive impact to the lives of children who have a range of care needs, life experiences and personalities that make every day varied and interesting. You will be able to successfully build trusting student relationships and motivate and encourage student(s) as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with living and learning tasks as appropriate.


What you'll need to succeed

The appointed candidates will have a minimum of 1 years’ experience working with children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs or Autism Spectrum Conditions.
